Marshall Municipal Utilities offers a Commercial Lighting Rebate Program to promote the use of high-efficiency lighting. Lighting can account for up to 50% of an average commercial utility bill. Upgrading your facility with new high efficient lighting can increase employee productivity and significantly reduce your energy consumption.

Rebates are available to all business customers of MMU for qualifying lighting retrofits. All products must be installed in existing facilities in MMU's service territory and must be in operation during daytime hours. The lighting retrofit must provide a net reduction in KW usage from that of the existing lighting system while maintaining the equivalent, or a greater, lumen output.

The rebate will be based on a rate of $0.20 per nameplate watt saved through the installation of high-efficiency lighting. In no case will the rebate paid by MMU exceed the purchase price of the equipment. The minimum rebate application is $50.00. The maximum rebate amount considered will be $2,000 per customer account per calendar year. MMU's General Manager may approve larger projects on a case by case basis.
